Why do it on your computer
Documents people convert to Word are usually ones they plan to change, like contracts, CVs and reports. Paperwing converts them locally, so drafts don’t sit on a converter’s servers.
Paperwing is a free, open-source desktop app for Windows and macOS with more than 100 PDF tools. It works offline, there’s no account, and every tool is free. Download it or browse all the tools.
Questions
Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
Simple layouts convert closely. Complex designs with many columns, layered graphics or unusual fonts may need some tidying in Word afterwards.
Can it convert scanned PDFs?
Run OCR PDF first to add a text layer, then convert.
