## How to convert Word to PDF with Paperwing

1. Open Paperwing, open **All tools** and choose **Create a PDF** , then **Word to PDF** .
2. Add your Word documents.
3. The first time, Paperwing downloads its document engine once (about 75 MB) and checks it against a SHA-256 hash. After that, it works offline.
4. Convert. Each PDF opens in a new tab.
5. Press Ctrl+S to save.

### Do I need to install LibreOffice?

No. Paperwing fetches the engine itself the first time you convert an Office file, verifies it, and keeps it for next time.

### Does it keep my fonts?

Fonts installed on your computer are used when available. If a document uses a font you don’t have, a similar one takes its place.
